Do full backups, and keep as many as you want from any time period in the past, there are no limitations. Daisy chaining files isn't consistent with that theme.Ī full backup has no strings attached. When you need to restore a backup, the last thing you want is to worry about the image file being reliable. If any link in the chain breaks, the entire chain is compromised and probably worthless. I've been using imaging s/w for a long time and have never used incremental backups for one simple reason. I'm in a similar situation, and would be interested in answers to this question.
